DBCO
DBCO are a class of click chemistry labeling reagents that contain a reactive DBCO group. They have attracted much attention in the materials and biological fields due to their excellent chemical activity, stability, and scalability. DBCO can react with azide-tagged molecules or biomolecules by strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) click reaction and the second-order kinetic constant can reach 1. In addition, they can also react with nitrones via strain-promoted alkyne-nitrone cycloaddition (SPANC) click reaction. Common DBCO reagents include DBCO-acid, DBCO-amine, DBCO-PEG-COOH, and DBCO-PEG-amine, which have very high reaction selectivity for azides and can be used to modify biomolecules such as peptides, proteins, and enzymes.
