Application
3-(Trimethoxysilyl)-1-propanamine is a versatile amino-functional silane that enhances the bond between substrates, fillers, or reinforcements and resins that react with the amino group. It is particularly effective with thermoplastic and thermosetting resins such as epoxy, PBT, and polyurethane, improving physical and electrical properties such as flexural strength, compression strength, and shear strength. This product also enhances the dispersion and wet ability of fillers in high molecular materials, making it an excellent adhesive promoter and sealant for materials like polyurethane, epoxy, and phenol. Additionally, 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)-1-propanamine can be added to phenol resins in glass wool and FRP products to enhance wet resistance and mechanical performance. Its applications also include use in RTV silicones, hybrid sealants, difficult substrates, and primer systems for polyurethane sealants. Additionally, it is used as a silane coupling agent for silver nanoparticles, in silanization processes, and for surface modification of nanomaterials, forming thermally stable layers on various substrates.
