Confocal microscopy is an optical imaging technique that uses point-by-point illumination and spatial pinhole modulation to remove scattered light from the non-focal plane of the sample, allowing for improved optical resolution and visual contrast compared to traditional imaging methods. Alfa Chemistry, the imaging experts, can provide you with Bruker Hyperion2000 FT-IR Microscope-based confocal microscopy imaging services.

The Bruker Hyperion 2000 FT-IR is a microscope that allows fast, non-destructive chemical micro-analysis based on Fourier Transformed Infrared (FT-IR) spectral mapping. It is designed to combine visible inspection and infrared spectral analysis of suitable samples. Its field of use includes material research, polymers, chemicals, forensics, art conservation, and life sciences. The instrument comprises an upright microscope and a FT-IR spectrometer (Vertex 70, Bruker) and an all-in-one spectroscopic software (OPUS, Bruker) serves for data acquisition, analysis and documentation.
The CCD image of the sample is shown not only on the computer monitor, but also on a second LCD screen integrated in the microscope frame. This second screen makes the sample positioning and the identification of the region of interest in the sample more comfortable. All visual images are saved with the measured infrared spectra and their specific sampling positions.
