Oxygen insertion into a metal-carbon bond of Cp*M(CO)(OPy)R (Cp* = η(5)-pentamethylcyclopentadienyl; R = Me, Ph; OPy = pyridine-N-oxide; M = Fe, Ru, Os) was analyzed via density functional theory calculations.
